When he was just 6 years old he left his village, ōshima, Nagasaki. It is unknown why he did that.

Taking with him only two katanas his father had forged before death, he wandered Japan, fighting and stealing to survive. He got in a lot of trouble until, at 10 years old, he was "adopted" by a dojo in the Yamaguchi region. There he learned Kenjutsu (art of the sword).

When he was 15, his dojo was burnt down and all students, and masters, except for Shiro, died. This led to confusion amongst the people and Shiro was accused of the crime. Angry and revolted he ran away.

He then became a Yōjinbō (**), working all over Japan, from job to job, doing what he liked the most: fighting.

One day, after getting in a brawl with three idiots (and winning), a daimyō (***) was interested in his way of fighting and requested his services. Shiro accepted the offer and began working for the man. He was then 16.

He became a rōnin (****), wandering, doing nothing. Until he met Ai Yashirō a young samurai who kicked his ass and scarred him (mentally, physically and clothes-ly). Shiro layed low, but he can't keep away from the league. HE IS BACK.

(**)- Samurai for hire, a bodyguard.
(***)- were the most powerful feudal rulers from the 10th century to the 19th century in Japan
(****)- Was a samurai with no lord or master during the feudal period of Japan
